Accommodation consists of two double en-suite rooms and a family suite, comprising of a double room with a large interleading bathroom to a twin bedded room. All rooms are individually and tastefully decorated and have tea/coffee making facilities. All bathrooms have undertile heating, baths and showers. Full DSTV service in the TV lounge and lovely roaring fires in winter in the main lounge. Delicious, home cooked dinners are served in our cosy dining room. Sip sundowners on the verandah whilst watching the beautiful sunsets. Thatcher's is situated in close proximity to many of the famous Battlefields, and tours by registered tour guides can be arranged on your behalf. Thatcher's Rest – Self-catering, is a delightful, unique and exclusive three bedroom / 3 bathroom (2 en-suite), fully equipped, cottage. The cottage is set on stilts in the dam and is accessed via a wooden walkway. An open plan kitchen, lounge with fireplace, and a lovely furnished verandah complete this little piece of paradise. Watch the Giant Kingfishers diving for their early morning breakfast, the Egyptian Geese tending to their young, and many other species just flying about in their daily food gathering frenzy. Bass fishing is available on the dam and in any of the other dams situated on the farm. Horse riding is available on a farm close by and can be arranged on guests’ behalf. The Nambiti Conservancy with the Big 5 is approx 39kms from Thatcher’s and game drives can be arranged on guests’ behalf (depending on availability). For peace and tranquillity, relaxing and enjoying, with a good measure of simply 'being spoilt' thrown in... Thatcher's is the place to be! Kids Facilities: Space, fishing, horse riding close by. |
